How Did We Get Here?

Starting his culinary career as a prep cook, Murray traveled the world learning the most effective techniques for food preparation and climbing to the ranks of Executive Chef . After too many years on the road, it was time to settle down and he returned home to Durham, North Carolina, better known as The Bull City.
A Love That Inspired It All
After returning home, Murray met his beautiful wife, Lauren, who is also a former chef. Their shared love for good food and drink grew to a kindred spirit connection and supportive relationship. It was Lauren's gift of a Knife Making Kit which ignited Murray's passion to create Bull City Knives.
Murray and Lauren still live in Durham, NC with their three dogs, Ladybyrd, Manchego, and Brie and their cat, Garvin.
Family. Above All Else.
Coming from a strong Irish background, Murray and Lauren value family above all else. They are both blessed with loving families who support their endeavors personally and professionally. And they all sport the Bull City Knives apparel!
